Did you remember that you could follow people on moovee.me? We did.
So now we have great news, the reviews done by people that you’re following will appear on the “My Friends” timeline and the “Everyone” timeline will show every review written in the languages that you selected before.
This is very useful and we think that it may help you to have the most relevant reviews easily.
And if you don’t know who to follow, you may search by users too. Right now this feature is only working for the username but we hope to extend this to full name soon.
What else?
If you speak more than one language and want to post reviews in different languages, there’s a way to do that. Just change the language for that specific review and that’s it.
Since this post was all about friends and followers I have to do this. We put this facebook “like” button on moovee.me but it wasn’t linked to the fanpage.Yes, we know that was a lousy and basic mistake but we did this. Well, if you had already clicked there, please click again.
So you can follow us on this links:

Our twitter account: @moovee_me
Our twitter account for the brazilian audience: @mooveemeBR
Mi Timeline, Su timeline
Don’t you think it is time to get mega relevant and only see the reviews written by the people you follow on moovee.me?
Hell, yeah!
So now, moovee.me has two timelines. The “Everyone” timeline which contains every review in the languages that you set on your profile and “My timeline” with only the reviews made by the people you follow. How cool is that?
This is the first of many improvements we are about to make on moovee.me so, watch out.
We had reports from some users stating that moovee.me was making them look uglier. WHAT?! Yup, that’s true. Due to some problems on our old avatar upload system, sometimes the uploaded images were not properly resized, causing people to look a little bit… stretched. Pretty much like the folks from Coneheads. NOT NICE.
Sorry about that! We took a look at the avatar upload process again and found the glitches. Everything should be working smoothly now - if you have a weird-looking avatar, we ask you to please click the “settings” link on the site header and re-upload your picture!
Thanks for all your support - let’s keep growing! :)
A lot of people have been talking about our temporary tagline. Yes, the one under the moovee.me logo where you can read
We still need to add a smart tagline here.
Everything was ok until we received an email from Sergio Martins with his idea for our tagline:
To infinty…and beyond!
It was not the most original and everybody around here laughed BUT (and this is a really big BUT) what if the tagline was created by the moovee.me users?
<Master Yoda’s voice>
Begun, the unofficial quest for the moovee.me tagline has…
</Master Yoda’s voice>
You can all send an email with your suggestion to staff@moovee.me
The winner will NOT receive any prize but will get a lot of street cred around here.
Oh Well, this is the first version of moovee.me and we still have a long way to go BUT we’re thrilled here.
The first tweet and the title of this post are a tribute to the classic Frankenstein (1931) movie. It is kind of a Frankenstein project. And now I ruined an almost perfect joke.
Here’s our Facebook Fan Page and our twitter account so join us there. We’re waiting for you.
It’s on!
The end of the micro-review regret.
Now you can delete your micro-reviews. Are you ashamed of a movie that you just reviewed? Delete it. Did you write a review about the wrong movie? Delete it.
To remove your posts, go to your profile and click the “X” on the upper right corner of each review listed. Easy!
Power to the people.
Is it mid june already? Whoa that was fast.
we’re almost in the verge of launching moovee.me for good. We’ve been correcting bugs, adjusting layouts and getting everything ready for you.
Here’s a list of the recent changes:
The Search results page was totally revamped and it looks great. We added more infos about movies which now includes movie image, average rating, cast, plot and more.
The search is smarter than ever and now you can filter it by movies, artist (directors and actors) and genre.
Oh! and did I mention that another filter is by language? Yes. This is a new one. You can now select if you want to see the reviews only in one or more languages. This is realy cool.
There are still a couple pages with a temporary layout but this is going to change really soon and before moovee.me’s launch.
The folks at Automattic released their TOS and Privacy under a Creative Commons Sharealike License.

And now, our TOS & Privacy are totally based on their model. This is just great.
Thank you, guys. This is Awesome.
We found a bug that was causing the “anonymous” avatar to disappear everytime an anonymous avatar user uploaded a real avatar. This shouldn’t happen anymore - please let us know if you find a broken user image around the site, and thanks for your patience :)
